Ingredients
For the Apple Filling:

2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced

2 tbsp unsalted butter

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)
For the Dough:

1 can (8-count) refrigerated biscuit dough

1/2 cup melted unsalted butter

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Instructions

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 4–5 minutes until softened.

Stir in the cornstarch-water slurry and cook for 1–2 minutes until thickened. Let cool slightly.

Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Flatten each biscuit into a 1/4-inch thick circle. Add 1 tbsp of apple filling to the center and fold into a sealed ball.

Mix remaining sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Dip each dough ball in melted butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar.

Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.

Bake for 12–15 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for the best bite.
Avoid overfilling to keep bombs from bursting.
Add a glaze by mixing powdered sugar with milk.
