Description

Beef ramen stir fry with tender sirloin steak, crisp broccoli, and ramen noodles tossed in a savory Asian-inspired sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 packages ramen noodles, seasoning discarded
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Whisk soy sauce and cornstarch, then add remaining sauce ingredients and set aside.
  2. Cook ramen noodles until just tender, drain, rinse, and toss with sesame oil.
  3. Heat olive oil in skillet, season steak, and cook until browned and cooked through, then remove.
  4. Add broccoli and water to skillet, cover, and steam until tender.
  5. Return steak and noodles to skillet, add sauce, and toss until coated and heated through.

Notes

  1. Slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
  2. Do not overcook ramen noodles to avoid a mushy texture.
