- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/3 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 packages ramen noodles, seasoning discarded
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound sirloin steak, sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup water
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Whisk soy sauce and cornstarch, then add remaining sauce ingredients and set aside.
- Cook ramen noodles until just tender, drain, rinse, and toss with sesame oil.
- Heat olive oil in skillet, season steak, and cook until browned and cooked through, then remove.
- Add broccoli and water to skillet, cover, and steam until tender.
- Return steak and noodles to skillet, add sauce, and toss until coated and heated through.
Notes
- Slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
- Do not overcook ramen noodles to avoid a mushy texture.
