Description

Bisquick Sausage Balls are a beloved four-ingredient appetiser made with pork sausage, cheddar cheese, Bisquick, and milk. Perfectly savoury, cheesy, and bite-sized, they’re ideal for parties, brunch, snacks, or game day. Quick to prepare and easy to customise—including a gluten-free option—these are the ultimate crowd-pleasers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups (360 g) Bisquick

  • 1 lb (454 g) ground pork sausage (mild or spicy)

  • 16 oz (454 g) shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk (or water, but milk makes it fluffier)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven:
Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  • Combine ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine Bisquick, sausage, cheese, and milk. Mix by hand until a dense, cohesive dough forms.

  • Shape:
Roll 2–3 tablespoons of dough into firm balls. Place on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Bake:
Bake for 23–25 minutes or until golden brown with bubbling cheese and crisp tops.

  • Serve:
Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Use freshly shredded cheese for better melt and flavor.

Adjust spice level with hot sausage or a pinch of cayenne.

If dough is too dry or wet, adjust with more milk or Bisquick.

Freeze unbaked or baked sausage balls and reheat as needed.
