Description

Fresh, creamy Crab Pasta Salad with imitation crab, tender pasta, crisp vegetables, and dill dressing. Served cold for summer potlucks and gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound medium shell pasta
  • 14 ounces imitation crab meat
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 1/2 cup red onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh chives, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente.
  2. Drain the pasta and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking.
  3. Add pasta, crab, peas, red onion, celery, and bell pepper to a large bowl.
  4. Stir in mayonnaise and dill until evenly coated.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour.
  7. Serve cold with fresh chives on top.

Notes

  1. Chill overnight for deeper flavor.
  2. Stir before serving and add mayonnaise if needed.
  3. Best served cold.
