Description

This Garlic Chicken Gnocchi Skillet is a creamy, cheesy, one-pan dinner that comes together in just 30 minutes. Tender chicken, pillowy gnocchi, and a Parmesan cream sauce create the ultimate weeknight comfort food with minimal cleanup. Perfect for cozy nights or quick family meals, it’s a dish you’ll crave on repeat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces | 450 g

  • 1 lb potato gnocchi | 450 g

  • 6 cloves garlic, minced | 18 g

  • 1 cup heavy cream | 240 ml

  • 1 cup chicken broth | 240 ml

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese | 50 g

  • 2 tbsp olive oil | 30 ml

  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs | 3 g

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add chicken, season with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs. Cook 6–8 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits.

  • Add gnocchi, simmer 3–4 minutes until softened.

  • Reduce heat to medium-low, stir in cream, and simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

  • Return chicken to the skillet, stir in Parmesan, and mix until creamy.

  • Taste, adjust seasoning, and garnish with basil before serving.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the skillet so chicken browns properly.

Shelf-stable gnocchi = convenience; refrigerated = more chew.

Fresh Parmesan melts smoother than pre-shredded.

Add spinach or peas for color and nutrition.

Best enjoyed fresh; leftovers reheat well with a splash of cream or broth.
