Description

Garlic Parmesan Chicken is a creamy, comforting dish featuring juicy chicken cooked in a rich, cheesy garlic sauce. Perfect for weeknights or special occasions, this easy recipe combines bold garlic, real Parmesan, and tender chicken for a flavorful meal you’ll want to make again and again.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter (for searing)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • ¼ cup chicken broth (optional, for thinning sauce)

  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prep the Chicken: Pound chicken to even thickness. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

  • Sear the Chicken: Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4–6 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  • Make the Sauce: In the same pan, add a bit more butter if needed. Sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Deglaze: Add chicken broth to lift flavorful bits off the pan (optional).

  • Add Cream and Cheese: Pour in cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan until melted and smooth.

  • Combine: Return chicken to the pan. Simmer on low for 5–10 minutes, spooning sauce over the chicken.

  • Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley. Serve hot over pasta, rice, or with veggies.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free version, use coconut cream and vegan Parmesan.

  • Want more veggies? Add spinach, mushrooms, or steamed broccoli.

  • You can bake the chicken at 375°F for 10–15 minutes after searing if you prefer.

  • Add a splash of lemon juice to balance the richness.
