Description

Sweet and slightly tangy homemade peach lemonade made with fresh peaches, lemons, and a hint of vanilla.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 cups cold water, divided
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • Ice, optional
  • Lemon slices for garnish
  • Fresh peach slices for garnish
  • Fresh mint for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine peaches, lemon zest, vanilla extract, sugar, and 2 cups water in a saucepan.
  2. Cook gently for 15 to 25 minutes until peaches soften.
  3. Mash peaches thoroughly.
  4. Cool mixture completely in the refrigerator.
  5. Strain solids from the mixture.
  6. Stir in lemon juice and remaining 4 cups cold water.
  7. Add ice if desired.
  8. Serve with lemon slices, peach slices, and mint.

Notes

  1. Leave up to 1/2 cup pulp for stronger peach flavor.
  2. Do not boil the peach mixture.
  3. Store refrigerated for up to 4 days.
  4. Stir before serving.
