Description

Individual Seven-Layer Dips are individually portioned Mexican appetizer cups perfect for parties, BBQs, potlucks, and gatherings. Each cup features layers of seasoned refried beans, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, cheese, and fresh toppings for a colorful and flavorful party snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
  • 1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 cup chunky salsa or pico de gallo
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 2 Roma tomatoes diced
  • 1/2 bunch green onions sliced
  • 1 (2.25 ounce) can sliced olives drained
  • 8 plastic tumblers (about 9 ounce size)
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl mix taco seasoning with the refried beans until fully combined.
  2. Dice the Roma tomatoes, slice the green onions, and drain the olives to remove excess liquid.
  3. Drain excess liquid from salsa or pico de gallo so the dip layers remain clean.
  4. Add about 2 tablespoons of the seasoned beans to the bottom of each plastic cup.
  5. Add 2 tablespoons sour cream as the next layer.
  6. Add 2 tablespoons guacamole on top of the sour cream.
  7. Add 2 tablespoons salsa or pico de gallo as the next layer.
  8. Add 2 tablespoons shredded cheese on top of the salsa layer.
  9. Top with diced tomatoes, sliced olives, and sliced green onions.
  10. Garnish each cup with a tortilla chip and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  1. Place sour cream and guacamole into zip bags and cut a small corner to pipe layers easily into cups.
  2. Drain salsa or pico de gallo well to prevent watery layers.
  3. If preparing ahead of time, add tomatoes, olives, and green onions just before serving for best freshness.
  4. Ingredient quantities can vary depending on desired layer thickness.
