Description
Thai Basil Beef Rolls made with savory ground beef, garlic, ginger, Thai basil, fresh herbs, and crunchy vegetables wrapped in warm tortillas for a fast 20-minute dinner.

- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- Black pepper
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger or 1/4 cup candied ginger
- 1–3 teaspoons Chinese five spice
- 1/3 cup tamari or soy sauce
- 1/4 cup Thai chili sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 4 Persian cucumbers, chopped
- 2 cups cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 cup Thai basil, chopped
- 1/3 cup chopped roasted peanuts
- 8–10 flour tortillas
- Chili paste, for serving
- Toasted sesame oil, for serving
Instructions
- Cook ground beef with black pepper in a large skillet over medium heat until browned.
- Add garlic, ginger, and Chinese five spice and cook until fragrant.
- Stir in tamari and Thai chili sauce and simmer until sauce coats the beef.
- Remove from heat and stir in some green onions.
- Fill warm tortillas with beef, cucumber, cilantro, basil, peanuts, and remaining green onions.
- Roll tightly and serve warm with chili paste and sesame oil.
Notes
- Use ground chicken or pork if desired.
- Adjust spice level to taste.
- Serve with rice to make it a full dinner.
