Description
Turkey Cheddar Roll Ups are creamy, cheesy tortilla pinwheels made with deli turkey, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, green onion, and lettuce. They make a quick no-cook lunch, lunchbox idea, snack, or appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
- 6 slices deli turkey
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 2 regular-size flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
Instructions
- Add the softened cream cheese, sliced green onion, salt, and pepper to a small bowl and stir until smooth and combined.
- Lay one tortilla flat on a cutting board and spread half of the cream cheese mixture evenly to the edges.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded lettuce over the tortilla.
- Layer 3 slices of deli turkey and 2 slices of cheddar cheese on the left side of the tortilla, keeping the filling close but not touching the edge.
- Roll the tortilla gently but tightly from one end until fully rolled.
- Press the seam with your fingers to seal, adding a small amount of cream cheese if needed.
- Repeat with the remaining tortilla and filling.
- Cut each tortilla roll in half, then cut each half into 5 pieces.
- Trim the unfilled ends if desired, then serve and enjoy.
Notes
- Store roll ups in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Pat lettuce dry before adding it to prevent soggy tortillas.
- Use softened cream cheese so it spreads smoothly and seals the tortillas.
- Chill whole rolled tortillas for 15 minutes before slicing for cleaner pinwheels.
- Do not freeze these roll ups because lettuce and tortillas can turn watery after thawing.
