Description

This Parmesan Crusted Chicken with Creamy Garlic Sauce is a weeknight dinner hero—crispy, golden chicken breasts with a cheesy crust, smothered in a luscious garlic cream sauce. Made in just one skillet in about 25 minutes, it’s the perfect balance of crunch and comfort, ideal for busy nights or when you want a restaurant-worthy meal at home.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 4 small–medium chicken breasts (or 2 large, halved) | 450–500 g

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp olive oil | 30 ml

For the Crispy Coating:

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese | 50 g

  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs | 30 g

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced | 10–12 g

  • 1 cup light cream or heavy cream | 240 ml

  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning or oregano | 3 g

  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated | 50 g

  • 1 cup spinach, chopped (optional) | 30 g

Instructions

  • Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

  • Mix Parmesan and panko in a shallow dish. Press onto chicken breasts to coat.

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.

  • Reduce heat to medium-low. Add garlic to skillet, cook for 1 minute.

  • Stir in cream and Italian seasoning. Add spinach if using.

  • Sprinkle in Parmesan cheese, stirring until sauce thickens slightly.

  • Cover skillet, cook 8–10 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F / 74°C internally.

  • Adjust seasoning, then serve with creamy garlic sauce spooned on top.

Notes

Pat chicken dry for the crispiest crust.

Avoid overcrowding the skillet for an even sear.

Fresh Parmesan melts better than pre-grated.

Simmer uncovered longer for a thicker sauce.

A squeeze of lemon brightens the richness.
